The Smithsonian’s magazine layout has been redesigned for a new digital era.
The magazine’s cover was removed from its original silver-and-black design.
It now has a more streamlined look, with a red, white and blue ribbon running down the centre.
The article’s title has also been updated to read “What Is the Smithsonian?”
The magazine is now available in all its editions online.
It is also available in the Smithsonian’s new digital edition of the magazine, which is being launched next week.
A total of 16 magazines are available on the digital platform, with each magazine available in different editions.
The first edition of The Smithsonian Magazine will be available next week, with the rest available in early 2018.
It comes just weeks after the Smithsonian announced a new edition of its National Geographic magazine, in which the title was removed.
The new digital version of The National Geographic will launch on October 17.
